Wakamow Place

Welcome to Wakamow Place, a dedicated mental health group home providing compassionate care and support to our residents. Our facility is designed to accommodate 16 clients, fostering a warm and nurturing environment where individuals can focus on their mental health journey.

At Thunder Creek Rehabilitation Association, we are proud to offer specialized services for our clients residing on the 2nd floor. Eight (8) individuals receive comprehensive medication management services, ensuring their unique needs are met with the highest standards of care.

On the main floor, we have created a diverse living space to cater to the different preferences and requirements of our residents. Four (4) individuals enjoy the privacy and independence of a one-bedroom apartment, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, a four-piece bathroom, and a bedroom designed for tranquility.

The remaining four (4) residents on the main floor are accommodated in small acute care suites. These suites feature a thoughtful layout, including a four-piece bathroom, a convenient kitchen sink, and a comfortable bed. While these clients are responsible for their own breakfast and lunch, our dedicated staff ensures that a nourishing supper is prepared and provided, promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Our commitment to the well-being of our residents is reflected in the 24/7 access to a Mental Health Worker available to all clients on the main floor. This continuous support ensures that individuals have someone to turn to whenever they need assistance, guidance, or simply someone to talk to.

At Wakamow Place, our Mental Health Workers play a vital role in the overall care of our residents. They provide social support, create a sense of community, and assist clients in remembering their medical appointments. Collaborating closely with Saskatchewan Health Authority clinicians, our team helps implement personalized care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the tailored support they require on their mental health journey.

We understand that everyone’s mental health journey is unique, and our goal is to provide a supportive and empowering environment where individuals can thrive. Wakamow Place is not just a residence; it’s a home that fosters healing, growth, and resilience. Together, we embark on the path to mental well-being.
