What You’ll Do

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting clients by ensuring a safe and clean environment, as they navigate the challenges of recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of rooms and common areas at all times.

· Ensure strict compliance to infection control guidelines to safeguard our clients’ health.

· Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to management.

· Ensure toiletries, towels, and other amenities are provided.

· Perform deep cleaning tasks as required, including carpet cleaning and scrubbing floors.

You’re someone who cares deeply about helping others. You have strong communication skills and can handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and empathy.

Job Details

Job Type: Full Time – Temporary until ~August/Sept. *Please note, you can remain on with the Association in a casual capacity after the term ends.
Pay: $17.21/hr
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay: Overtime pay as applicable to the CBA

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Tuesday – Saturday, 9am – 6pm

Qualifications and Experience

  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Warm and caring personality.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent. Prior experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively
  • Capable to work in a team and performing physically demanding work for extended periods of time.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset

  • Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
  • WHMIS
